ok so I busted the bottom of my airbox from it hitting the swingarm i guess? so i have to get a new airbox and the houser airbox riser kit but ive heard that the 06 and up has a bigger filter so could i get the riser kit and put an 06 and up airbox and filter on it? thanks

go with the 06 , I personnally use the 06 but I pretty much cut the airbox off just use the mounts to hold the filter there

you cant use the 06+ box with a 04-05 carb, they dont fit. i always broke mine with my old setup so i just took a piece of rubber and riveted it to the bottom of the box. i use a 06 airbox with jb superlink now and have no problems with hitting it at all without a lifter kit.

I run a 04-05 carb on my 2007 and use the 06+ airbox. You will need to heat up the intake tube to get it to fit on the carb. Its not a direct bolt up application, but it will work;)

so if i get
- houser airbox riser
- 06+ airbox
-06+ filter
- heat gun and some good force to get it on the carb it'll be ok and wont hit the swinger?

yea most are changing to the 06 carb too. I sujest the 06" kicker" carb for the hot start.
Are the subframe mounts not different between the 04/05 and 06+ airbox? I was thinking they were.

I think I'll just stick with the 04-05 airbox
