Toolbox help needed

I purchased an 89 honda 250r back in November.It did not come with the toolbox. I want to put a toolbox on it to carry a wrench and some plugs. Im curious to know if any other trx toolboxs will work on it other then me having to find a used original 89 250r toolbox. I tried searching the forum but did not come up with anything. Thanks in advance for your help.

I've got a tool box, (I think) its for an '86. I ran it without any problems. If you want it, PM me an offer.

My toolbox on my 86 messed up so I used one off of a polaris scrambler. Does a good job. I had to slot one of the holes just a little . Im not sure if the mounting holes on an 89 frame are the same as 86. Heres a picture of mine.

Spacing on the 86-87 is different than the 88-89.

I do believe the TRX300EX, all years, will bolt up to the 88/89 frame. I searched for months, for a 88 toolbox. When I finally got one, it looked just like a 300ex. I think I even swap them on the machines, no difference. My mind is slipping though. :eek:
