How are the Puresports Bandits 20x10x9? Do they handle well in the mud?
I think I have my mind set on Maxxis All trak they come in 22x11x9 though is that good? Will i have to change my front sprocket 15 to a 14 tooth if I go with them? Any help would be great! thanks

I just had the same thougth today! Im looking for some new tires for woods racing. I think i am going to go with the Bandits because i dont want to add so much tire, i mean we are already going from 20" to 22" rears, then to add 1" wider too! Seems abit much to me, now if i was to stay on the 20"x10" side i would go with the Bandits too 20x10x9 But 22x11x9 is just to much tire i guess for me. I think i just might go with the Razrs in 20x11x9
for general non muddy riding.

I need more responces im still not quite sure, I ride mostly trails
most the time there real muddy. Do you guys recommend the
22x11x9 or the 20x10x9 for trail riding? Help me out here guys!
What do you think/know? I like the Maxxis All Trak, but it only comes in 22x11x9, is that too much tire for the 400ex? Or what about the Bandits 20x10x9? How good are they in the mud though? Or should I go with the Razr 20x11x9 I dont know how they do in the mud either? Christmas is right around the corner and my wife wants to know what I want, and I cant make up my damn mind! And one last question will I have to go down a size in my front sprocket to a 14 if i get the 22x11x9? Someones got to know what's up?

Get Razr's, Bandits are too heavy....

Get Razrs, Bandits are very heavy.

For the most part, if I get stuck, it's because I got high-centered. At that point, no tread design would have pulled me out. If I don't get high-centered....I don't get stuck.

Usually I can get through a lot of mud holes with the stock rears by picking a good line.

You could get a set of 25" mud-sharks if you are playing that much in the mud. If your at that point, then it's time for a 4X4.

Not quite ready for for a 4x4 yet, but i think i will go with the Razr's. I've just heard so many good things about them. I want to stay with the 20" tires also, I like the low profile of them. The question now is should I get 4 or 6 ply? Thanks for responding!

My next tire will be a 20" Raz'r. I rode a Banshee with Raz'rs and loved them.

I have the same question: 4 or 6 ply. I wish I could find the weight differances.

get holeshot xcs they are 20x11x9 and last forever. never had a flat tire bc of the tire its self only bc of my back rims bending so bad they won't hold air. they hook up great in mudd, loose, and hard pack. they don't wear down fast mine have been on for over a year and still have 40% tread life left.

Unless your in a place were you get alot of flats go with the 4ply because the give a plush ride the 6ply are very stiff and if you do any jumping you will notice the harder landings i have 4ply razrs on front and back for 3 years and ive only had one pin hole in one of the back tires they are very good all around tires . redrider ex

I saw an add for Holeshoot the other day, and it looks like they have add a new "trail" tire to their line-up.

It seams like a marketing approach, they say it is design for the new style of four stroke quads. ???

The add is in one of the latest mags.

I heard that Holeshot and Razrs are just about the same tire, is this true? Are Razr's a take off of Holeshots? Which one lasts longer? I have also heard that Holeshots wear quicker? Glad that im finially getting some responces, just dont want to go and buy the wrong tire. Id be kicking myself in the rear to find out after a week or so that I should have gotton a different kind!

TRFOXX,
I had holeshots on my 250x, they were a great tire as well, but it was before they came out with all the variations (XC, XCT, MX, XCR's, etc).
When I ordered my new Razr's (a couple of months ago), I got a pamphlet with them that said they are coming out with MX versions, also. I've heard that Holeshots last longer, but are heavier. I would recommend just getting the 4-ply, unless you are riding on a lot of sharp, rocky surfaces. I do alot of fast woods riding (hitting the occasional mud hole and muddy hillside) and they are holding up great. The last time we went riding, my buddies 400ex (with stock tires) was having alot more trouble climbing hills than I was.
If you are getting new rims, too...get the 20 X 11 X 10's for the rear, they have that low profile look, and handle better with less sidewall flex. The new Holeshot XCRs look sweet, but I think Razr is the better looking of the two.:devil

I have 22x11x9's on my 250x, it didn't make noticable difference ove the kenda dirt dogs that were on ti when I bought it, well in terms of low end I mean. I love the All Track though, they go through everything and I haven't puncured one yet.

I love my 20x11x10 holeshots they last forever and hook up good I went to the 14t sprocket because the holeshots are taller than stock even tho they both say their 20's

So if I get the 20x11x9 Razer M932/Holeshots XCR tire size, they will fit on the stock rims right? Spincr4hire I just got a pamphet about the Razr MX and mine say that they just come in 18x10x8 and only 2 ply.

i had holeshot XCs on mine and they are a great trail tire, but in mud they clog up very fast and turn into slicks.

The Bandits are heavy but they wear very well. They seem to be made of very hard rubber. You can even run them with no air pressure if you happen to get a flat in the woods. They don't seem to have as much forward or cornering traction as Holeshots. I prefer the Holeshots.
