Good deal or stay away?

Ran across this bike on craigslist and was wondering if you Honda guys think its worth the price? The owner says he doesn't know how many hours are on it but the rebuild was done less than a year ago. The bike looks a little rough and could use some new powder coating here and there but runs ok. The last ATV I had was a 2000 400ex that was rock solid but I don't know about these new bikes. All opinions are welcomed, I'm just wondering if this thing is worth the time and money to start a project with.

That bike is due for some TLC it looks like. I sure would like to know how they did the rear fenders though.

man. i wish prices were like that around here.
i paid 2900 for mine. stock with bars, bent wheels, and a cracked case.
For a decent 04-06 im lookin at like 4500 give er take.
then for some reason the 07+ prices take off from there. :(
and those are stock machines!

you know how usually you don't get back what you put in to your bikes? well for some reason people here think you do! :confused:

The bike definantly looks a little beat. I've been looking around trying to find a decent bike but everything I find is far away. I wouldn't mind spending a little money on one I just have to find it.

I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole at that price. Everything on it looks rigged. Wires coming out from underneath grounded to the motor mounts, one of the crossbars on the flexx bars is missing...it's gonna be a headache.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm really glad I didn't buy that bike I bought one with a LT leager/Axis front, Full gusset kit, Houser stem, etc, etc in alot better shape for lets just say a better price than that one. Only catch was I had to drive 3 1/2 hours to pick it up. I'll post pics later.
