What year CR brake pedal is used? I could stand getting a new one. Does anyone make an aftermarket one? Quick search for "brake pedal" and "laeger" didn't yeild much results.
Its a 98 frame, so probably 98-ish CR??

Thanks

my bro had a 96 CR pedal on his 01 Arens...

Stocker is what he used on the R frames. Not completely sure but, I'm pretty sure.
And if not, I'm sure I will be corrected!

My '00 Laeger has a hinson 250r pedal on it, and I also bought 312r1's hinson pedal off his Laeger and that is a 250r pedal too.....Pretty sure bigmatt61 is right, but I don't know my Laeger history that well.

Mines a CR pedal forsure, I believe 96 is the right year just looking at pics of different years of CR pedals, (you wouldn't believe how much they change year over year)... I have the one that came off it, its just scuffed and I want a new one...

BTW, mines a Laeger XC frame not MX if that makes a difference...

Proof is in the pudding:

Troy, somebody probably added that. I didn't think they were interchangeable, but Laeger never used mounts specifically for a CR pedal, so I'm 99.9% positive you can just get a TRX pedal to replace it - ESR or Hinson, or OEM, whatever you like.

Unless somebody physically changed the mount you should be fine using a stocker or similar, unless you want to use a newer cr pedal.

The CR mounts completely different than a stocker... There is just a threaded bung on the frame vs. small tube, and until I got the frame it was untouched since being sold by Laeger in 98. I know other Laeger frames with the same CR pedal...

Can you put a 250r pedal on it? The tip of the CR250 pedal looks much lower than what I would want it be, I feel like you'd really have to point the tips of your toes down to hit that thing. It doesn't look natural....but thats just me! Here's a pic of mine.....

Wierd, I've never heard or seen one with a CR pedal. I wonder how many had it? If I recall, Arens used the 96 pedal as well, so that sounds like it.

Have you thought about just powdercoating it?

Or sell it to me...And I will pc it :D
I too looked for an aftermarket, and all I found was sunline cnc brake pedals. Some listings say 92-06 and some say 02-06. I have yet to call and ask for a "forsure" 96 part number.
I was going to try bbc? also...

That's pretty cool, I never knew Laeger did that, mine uses a stock style pedal. The one on yours looks like the one on my Arens frame though.

Call him and ask he's a super nice guy and probably wouldn't mind telling you.

Here is my 98 Laeger with a 96 CR250 pedal and YZ250 master. I ordered the frame from Laeger specifically for the 96 CR250 pedal and CR250 rear master cylinder setup. Later found that the YZ250 master bolted up as well. Most 250R Laeger frames just used the stock parts, but the YZ and CRF hybrid frames used the motorcycle parts.

Mine is an XC specific Laeger Narrow frame with skid plate mounts welded to the frame. I only heard of one other Laeger XC specific frame with the skid plate mounts welded on. I would imagine Mark would make them however the customer wanted... Nice thing about the CR pedal is the spring and everything is all enclosed and clean design, no springs to snag nothing...

I'm pretty sure its a 96 pedal by the looks of the shape. I think they all mounted the same, so I can use whatever year I wanted... still trying to confirm that.

Matt, my brake pedal is exactly the same shape as yours, so it must be an 96 then... Thanks!!!! Mine uses the stock MC as far as I can tell, the trx250r MC and 450r MC bolt up anyway...

I was wondering the diff in the laeger xc frame compared to the laeger mx frame? and the cr pedal is interesting...makes me think theres probibly a good reason why the guy who ordered the frame wanted it instead of a stocker trx pedal...

I'll post some pics of the differences on the XC frame... I didn't realize that's what I had until after I traded for the bike, and started my build. I realize I'm building an MX bike, but I like the XC frame... The skid plate mounts are nice, and I'm going to run a Carbon Fiber/Kevlar glide plate anyway.

Oh, and as far as angle of the pedal I can mount up or down what ever I feel comfortable with...

This is pretty interesting, learn something everyday - it's a bonus that it's R related. Anywho...my Aren's has the 96 CR pedal, but my Laeger uses the regular TRX style pedal. I am not a big fan of the ergonomics of the CR pedal, seems like you really got to try and press the lever down and my ankle only bends so far that way. It might be my club leg, or the IMS wide pegs with shark teeth - who knows. Another thing I don't like about the pedal is the kicker will sometimes get stuck at the bottom if I give it a nice full kick. Might be the Aren's frame, maybe not. I know there is some adjustment, but then the brake pedal is too low...

The crap we have to deal with...:D Does anyone have pictures of an aftermarket CR style pedal that is STILL available on the market?

Troy - if you want me to check on the pricing of a pedal, let me know. I plan to run up to the city and pick up my plastics this weekend.

This is the only one I found, indicates it's for a CR150R, anyone know if this will work? Looks very similar...

Forgot the install pdf...

When you look at this, it's almost identical!

Might have to take a gamble on this one and eat it, looks like a nice brake pedal.
