guys, my front brake master cylinder was leaking fluid and while i was riding brake fluid was misting onto my brand new maier carbon fiber fenders. i cleaned it off but it left behind white streaks everywhere there was brake fluid. it seems to have eaten into the carbon fiber wrap that is molded to the fenders. its only on the surface though. any suggestions? maybe wet sanding????

You could try wet sanding with 1000 grit on a paint stick then go to 2000, and take you time go in one direction! then see what it looks like if that dosn't help you could always try to throw a thin thin coat of clear on it ?

brake fluid is whats deemed as caustic to anything metal or plastic (it eats it). Not much you can do but sand it or paint it.

show a picture of the location and severity where it put streaks in the plastic .You could find some graphics or decals that covers that area of the plastic , that would probally keep the plastics looking good. I woulden't ever recomend painting the plastics unless you ride in the dunes.
