just got done my build. 416 12.5-1,sparks cam,sparks exhust,and a 450r carb. but man my vavles are tappeing away. whats this decompression could that have a reason why there tapping so bad. i have them set at stock .004 intake .005 exhust.

It is because you have a after market cam.. Aftermarket cams have a more aggressive cam lobe, profile then stock.. Nothing to worry about, if all is in spec..

well i just looked at my feeler gauges and there is a proublem i think. i set my vavles at .04mm intake and .05mm exhust. should i have put the to .13mm intake and .15mm exhust thanx for ur help
