I have heard of guys putting good 300ex shocks on their 450 to lower it. I am running a lowering link in the rear. I would like to lower it without the link. and possibly lower the front too. The small front tires seem to lower it enough, but im not really sure what im doing. It seems to handle okay. Im going to raise the back up a little hoping that it will cure the little bit of push i have. Any input is helpful. Thanks

Keep your ride height around 5" or so. The front shouldn't be more than 1/2" higher than the rear with the rider on.

You should just buy shocks designed for the 450R that are built for TT. Nose should always be a touch higher than rear. Mess with castor settings to change that push. It took me quite a bit to get that push out of the front end. Make sure your arms are not a +1 or +2 forward. Extended width is OK, but not any more foward, it will make this issue worse. Also a shorter swingarm or a stock length will help that too.

I can't adjust the caster but I can adjust camber. I have +2+1 Burgard standard travel a arms. I think if I raise the back up a tick it will help the push problem. I'll see how it goes. Thanks

i was going to do this exact same thing. I have spare 300ex shocks left from when i had the 300. and i was going to put them on for this season. I got lowering mounts for nothing, so im using them instead.
And if your on a budget you cant afford shocks built for TT racing. i know that for a fact. LOL
