Carb Question

I have a curtis sparks fcr carb on my 2005 450r and when i push the throttle it brings the carb past top dead center and the carb locks at that point. I cant figure out why the carb is going past top dead center its like there is too much throw in the throttle lever.. if anybody could help me out i would appreciate it

top dead center is a piston/crank term, there is no TDC on a carb. im guessing you mean that the carb is sticking at wide open throttle, make sure you have the cable on the right spot on the linkage and its adjusted properly and the cable isnt binding. Make sure the carb is assembled properly also

yea i know thats a motor term but the carb is going past where full throttle would be and sticking i took the top cover off and you can watch it as you use the throttle it will come up and go past where full throttle would normally be and then it will lock and stay there the cable is all in the right spot and has been adjusted many times but nothing changes.
