hey i have a 2007 er model and i was wondering if i could try putting an efi system on it from the crf, I dont know much about fuel injection but would it be possible without that much mod? or is there electrical and all that and i would have to try and rig the wiring harness?

Yeah no real point. The carb on it already can be tuned to be better than an efi

EFI def has its advantages, i still like carbs, but EFI is here and its only going to get bigger. To put a CRF EFI on the quad is going to take some customizing. First you will need to use the whole electrical system off of the bike, stator harness everything. Then you run into the problem of the fuel tank since the CRF pump is inside the tank. I believe it could be done but the hardest part will be figuring out how to run the stator setup and whatever sensors the CRF uses to monitor some engine data

definitely not worth it

for the innovation aspect it would be worth it if you could just get ahold of the parts for a decent price

ok, well i was hitting my jump i have and i stabbed the throttle in 3rd gear and it cut out as i was going up it, it is more of a rough tabletop than a double so i kept it on the wheels, but any ideas why this is happening? Im not expereinced with a 450 at all, im the first one to get one out of my buddies so they dont know anything about it either, it has a uni filter with the hrc kit and an hmf muffler, any advice on different jetting? It justs doesnt run worth a crap compared to the 400ex i had, it idles rough and the cutting out problem, the 400ex didnt do that at all...

you need to get on a dyno, and get your jetting set up, it could also show some weakness with your set up swp/koq has one in Mi.
