Ok so heres the plans.

Stroker crank, 400ex a arms, 450r shocks, raptor rear shock, 400ex carb, newer plastics. I will post some pics tomorrow.

good plan...I would also sugest an HMF pipe to compliment that carb and a Uni filter.

Well I got the one running, I the air filter off and sprayed ether in the air boot and it fired up first kick. I rode it around the house and down the field a few minutes and ripped a couple of wheelies. Now that the hard part is over lol, this is what I need to do.Clean the bike, clean the carb,Change the oil, get a new airfilter, tires, chain and sprocket set.

Definatly going with a uni filter, trying to find a exhaust in my price range.

for a very well priced exhaust id check out the lexx MXe. tons of tunability in that pipe.

Well I went to adjust the chain and the adjuster cracked, just my luck.

Wich way do you turn the nuts when facing from the rear of the quad to get them off, I know its a dumb question but I forget and do not want to screw it up.

Well a funny thing happened today, I started to take parts off the 250x that does not run, and took a break to go to wawa. I told the kids to leave the quads alone. When I came back dinner was ready so I came in to eat. After that was said and done, I went outside to continue working on the quad and I saw oil on the ground,my chain all bunched up around the front sprocket, with a little hole on the corner behind it. At least I have two identical bikes so now I am going to make one good one, the way I want it. IE TOO SCARY FOR THE OLD LADY TO RIDE. To get some of the money back I will sell the parts I do not need. Sometimes I feel like I am fighting a losing battle here.

Dang dude.. haha seems to me like everytime you turn around somethings messing up.. its okay its just prably worn out but mine is too.. im tryin my best to build it up..

I switched the coil and cdi to the other 250x and it fired to life first kick. My gasket set, some tools, and the 400ex carb I got on Ebay came in, so now I have something to do. The motor with the bad case will be out this weekend, if there are no surprises. I plan on getting a new filter and jets this weekend. A pod filter would be nice. At least I have something to ride, so I will not be going totaly out of my mind.

Since I was on here last, I put on the 400ex carb, Uni filter, moose grips, and bought some Itp holeshot 20-10-9 rear tires, but they sent 20-11-10. I am still tuning the carb but it is close. Got a 300ex rear shock free but it packs too much, so I am still on the hunt for a raptor shock.

I took the pipe off to take pics of before and after, when I went to put it back on it would not seal right. When I went to park it for the night it felt like it was seizing. the next day I pulled the pipe off and checked the port, and there were metal shavings, so I guess it is rebuild time.
