Im getting a valve job done and want to upgrade my valves and springs but im unsure of what to go with. Its going to have a hi comp piston and hrc cam with full yosh exhaust. Im staying with standard size valves and the quad is set for xc. Any help or suggestions would be great!

use stock springs with ferrea SS valves, that setup should be very reliable with the hrc cam.

I agree with the ferrarah valves good quality and we haven't had any premature failures with them.

For XC on an 05, I wouldn't go over 12:1. I have my reasons. I also run a HRC cam, and have had stock valves and KW valves. The KW valves served me very well for two seasons before an exhaust valve broke and trashed head, piston, cylinder, and rod. I probably should have replaced them, but for whatever reason I didn't. :grr: I am currently running stock.

kibblewhites have been known to break, some people dont have problems, but ive seen tons of KW valves that have broken, and not too many ferrea's. With ferrea and KW at the same price, why would you chance it. I would think a 02 CRF would be better suited for woods then a 05 HRC cam, the HRC is a top end cam, whereas the 02 CRF is great on the bottom and mid.
