i have been doing research and saw that rotella meets the standards for wet clutch and so on. My question is im breaking in my hot cams( stg 1 all stock besides that), and have to change oil after break in. its between 30s-50s currently will 15w be ok to run and be ok for the cam break in?

I'd run 10-40 for break in unless it's 70 plus. The break in is a key time and you want the oil traveling as quickly as possible. Plus, make sure to be generous with the cam guard/ assembly lube on the journals. The oil should be dumped after break in anyways so I'd run the 10w. Matt

I would say yes.

Ordinarily the 15w40 would be fine for those temps, but I agree with matts27, that you should run the thinner 10w40 for break in only.

I run the 15-40w Rottella. Works well for me. Matt
