Got an old 81 Honda and she loves to run one day and the next shes got her issues.

Yesterday I had it hitting 31 mph and it was running awesome.

Today I go out and when I start it, it just revs up as high as it can possibly go. I've cleaned it, messed with the idle screw, and messed with the throttle cable and nothing seems to fix it.

What would cause it to start and automatically rev to 5 grand RPM LOL!

Any help is appreciated.

Stuck butterfly valve on the carb maybe?

Well the needle still moves up and down??

sounds like a air leak. check your carb boots for cracks and choke assembly.

Open air filter (no air filter LOL) but it hasnt acted like that before??

One day it runs perfect with no filter, the next its wide open 24/7!
