Ok guys and gals the time has come!!!
Lew at Chassisincfab is ready to roll on the new footpegs for all years of our favorite bike.
There is one thing though...price.
The prices had to jump a little from the 1st quote because of steel cost, laser cut cost and powdercoating costs.
The raw ones will be $125.00
The basic powdercoated will be $160.00

These are 4130 Chromoly and will be tough as nails.

Sorry about the price hike guys but thats just the way it has to be right now.
I look at this as a great opportunity to get another fabricator interested in building stuff for our dying breed of quads. Instead of having to beg companies to take our money and re-issue parts that they look at as a burden, it will be nice to have someone who is highly motivated to get busy and start making some stuff.

I am just making this public knowledge at this time and wont be "taking orders" for him so your best bet is direct communication with Lew Swan himself
Feel free to call him directly at 503-318-1710
Or Google his sight and Email from there.

I should have the 1st set at the beginning of next week and I will post up pictures as soon as I can.

.
What next??? Heel guards?? Swingers?? A-arms?? steering stems??....who knows??

Jason this is great news. The price is still great considering what you could pay for a set of used Roll pegs. I will be ordering 2 sets next week for an 86 and 88. Thanks again for the leg work on this.

Do you know if my motosport nerfs would bolt to the front of them as they do on the stock '87 peg?

They will have the same spacing of a Roll. The Roll. Mounting holes are just shy of 3" center to center.
Hope this helps some.

Hope this helps some. Nice, I was hoping the nerfs and heelguards would mount up the same as the roll....

only 19 of the 86/87 left ...lol I think he was a little shocked that someone ordered them so quick, he sounded surprised, get them while you can at a great price!!!

I like that the design has the mount and peg as one piece now!!

I haven't been building anything lately but there is a local fabrication shop that has been building parts for just about every make and model of ATV. This guys shop is at his house and is filled with more CNC machines than you can shake a stick at. He sells his products to other companies to be sold under their brand names but he also sells direct. Do to his wholeselling, he doesn't advertise under his name. His parts are everywhere throughout central Cal. though. I would bet if there was enough interest in aftermarket frames, he would build them. Or maybe even a reincarnation of the Protrax????

Check out their site.

Thanx for all the interest guys!!!
This is just the start of something really good for our quad's. I consider myself to be very passionate about the 250R and I will do whatever I can to keep these great bikes alive.

Its also good to see someone such as Lew not be afraid to take a chance, be creative and expand his own horizons.

Heel guards next guys!!!!
