Having sentimental values for 250r's I cannot justify using mint 1998 plastics on a quad that is going to be ridden in the woods getting muddy and scratched by branches. I would rather buy a set of maiers and destroy those. My question is what is the going price for a set of stock plastics with no cracks or dry rot; just some light scuffing from where your legs and boots rub. It looks like if you just put some rubbing compound on a buffer you could make them look like glass.

I can't help you much there but in 2005 I paid $200 for a set in about as nice of condition as yours. I know I stole them for that price.

On ebay they bring a mint, upwards of 1200 plus... try some searching around on ebay and you'll see what I mean.

I would give $500. That is my favorite color year.

If Puma is offering $500, then I'll offer $505

That's pretty funny. If they are 1998 and do not have spider web cracking I would go $750 in a heart beat without the hood. There is a better the pic in the "show off your quad" section.

I will take them off the quad and get some good pics they are mint. They is only one true scratch on them by the seat; and it looks like it could be sanded out no problem. the rest is just scuffing that a quick polish would remove.

In all reality, I couldn't do it, even at $505.

That is by far my favorite style and color, but I like my fenders race-cut. And my conscience wouldn't let me cut them, even if I got them for cheap.

They're much better off going to somebody that would keep them in original condition.
