So I was getting my 330ex out for the year and had a few issues. First off when I first tried starting it I was dumping fuel out the over flow. So I figured my float was stuck and put my carb in the parts washer. After a 10 minute bath it was all good and didnt leak anymore. Then I tried starting it again and it turned over fine but didnt start, so I stopped turned off the key and when I turned the key on again and tried to start it I had no power at all. Not even a click. I then jumped acrossed the soleniod and it turned over. I happened to have a new soleniod so I replaced it. Still nothing. Thats where I'm at and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem. Chect the power to and from the key, mine was dead coming from it, so i just put a toggle switch on and it worked.

How good is the spark what color is it blue, white,or red?And how is your compression?Have you tryed pouring gas in the motor?

The spark is blue and it is a fresh rebuild with only a tank of gas through it. Yes I did but not with the different carb yet.

Blue spark is the best..Have you tryed pulling it to start it?When you poured gas in it,(straight in the motor) it still didn't crank or hit?

Yes I tried pulling it and all it did was turn over but didnt act like it wanted to start and when i poured gas in it did the same thing. I will get a backfire everyonce in awhile but thats about it.

I know you said it's a fresh rebuild. If you have spark and you poured gas right on the piston, it should have cranked..the only thing I can thank of is it in time. Have you checked it??

How old is the fuel? Try dumping the fuel and putting in some fresh juice.

I havent checked the time but I would think it would be right. I had all new valves and guides put in by a honda dealership and they timed it. I will look at it this weekend just to make sure. It ran great when I got it back and then I put it in storage for the winter and now its doing this, just doesnt make sense. And its got a full tank of fresh 91 octane.

But is it a new or old timing chain?? If it's a new chain and it's out of time it could be your timing chain tensioner..

I pulled the top this last weekend and it was way out of time. The cam chain is the old one I believe. So I'm guessing its stretched and I will need a new one. This is the last thing I wanted to do this spring, thats why I took it to the dealership last fall. I told them to replace everything that needed replaced...oh well back to the shop. I hope I have no bent valves.
