So when I push down on the rear brake it dosen't want to realese when I take my foot off the pedel. The front brakes work fine though. The rear pads look a bit thin but there is still some materal there though. Any adjustment that I need to know about??? thanks.

There should be a spring connecting the pedal to the frame. Is it still on there?

Could try taking apart the caliper and cleaning and lubing the slide. If that doesnt work then you probably need a new caliper as its sticking.

I was hoping it would be easer than that. Thanks

you might want to try bleeding the brakes of air before you do anything with a caliper hanging....does it seem like it is really easy or somewhat easier to push down than usual?

Id check out the pins and sliders to see if they are grooved.

Before you do anything else try taking the rear brake lever completely off. Clean it up real well as well as the hole in the frame. Regrease everything and it should work a lot better.

Thats is what it was! I took off the rear caliper and it worked fine so I took off the brake pedel. It was hard to remove and was real dirty and rusty. I sanded the pedel and hole it goes in, cleaned and lubed and it works perfect! Thanks for the help.

I have had the same issue on my 300ex and 400ex mechanic at the dealer told me the parking break can cause the problem. Not sure but for 8 bucks I bought the parking brake block off plate and no problems.
