Sprocket Queston...

Can someone tell me if this is true..I was told or I read it somewhere.That if you put a one tooth bigger sprocket on the front it will be like taking three teeth off the rear sprocket.. Is that true or not.. I like to know.. Thank's for reading!!

That's the ratio i've always known, so yes, i believe it is true.

OK. Thank's! Do you know the ratio of running a bigger or smaller tire?Because I know the rear tire's play's apart in how slow or how fast you run on top end? Just like the front and rear sprocket.. Thank's for any help!!
