400 ex camshaft

i have a cam for a 400ex with the markings on it 7eht...does anyone know what it is?

Pretty sure that is a stage 1 hot cam

a buddy of mine has a hot cam and it saysy hot cam on it so im not sure

hotcams say i think either HC or hotcam on themm.

My Stage 1 had CHT-7 engraved into it and the hotcam logo in the center of the cam. If it has the logo then call hotcams and they should be able to tell you.

yes there is a logo in the center but there is no way i can read it...it looks like a egg and some chicken scratch under neath or it....lol

ok ...yea i guess i have a hot cam...lol..
i bought this bike used so i was trying to figure out what i had...lol
now for wher the flange goes for the cam gear is there suposed to be a cir clip that holds it in place or does it just float around?

That is what my cam says also. I believe its just an older stage 1 like has been said. I called hotcams and he said that would be his guess but he could find the old part numbers

It has to be pressed on from the stock cam. The newer ones come with the flange already on them.
