my 2005 trx450r started a slow drip coming out of the bottom of the carb where the drain cap is. The bike is running just fine so I'm just thinking something is just worn? needle? any ideas?

I was thinking that, but it runs just fine, no sluggishness at any throttle position

the picture you put up is for a FCR carb so dont pay attention to it, i looked at the 05 carb diagram and its hard to see where the inlet is and how it seals

unless its a molded fitting... And I dont think it is,,, but its been a while since I had an 04,but I still think there are seals there

EDIT:: I was just looking at a 04 pic and it does look like its a molded piece... I apologize!!!!
but i still think there is a seal leaking outside the carb somewhere.. that is if its accumulating on the plug like you stated in first post and not coming out the over flow
