10.8:1 comp. Ratio will it be ok to run strait 110 octane? I realize I don't have to but i wanna run a tank of it to see if runs any different. If not I'm gonna mix 50/50 with 93. Just thinking that when its gonna be a really hot day this simmer maybe ill run strait race fuel to help keep it cool Thanks

you should be fine, octane is just a number that represents a fuels resistance to detonate, so the higher the number + higher temp and compression the fuel can handle without detonating before the spark plug fires, the only real difference with higher octane is that it burns alittle bit slower because it has a higher flash point, so will you notice a huge gain in power? probably not but it will help keep the engine run cooler on hotter days

Cool, so you are running 110 all the time?

a majority of the time, if im just going trail riding for the day or plan on taking it easy i will run 93 just because race gas is crazy expensive, especially for someone like me who has the tightest budget known to mankind

I see a lot of people paying well over 8 bucks a gallon for vp 110. I don't know if you have any local dirt tracks near by, but 95% of them will sell 112 sunoco for $6.50-$7.50 a gallon.

Sunoco 10 miles away and dirt track is 12 miles away:)

i live in the wonderful state of ny where everything is retarded expensive and i wind up paying around 10 a gallon for 110 vp, the tracks are all about 45 mins to an hour away from my house and they jack up the prices on the fuel anyway, i have bought 93 and just added the octane boosters you buy at a gas station because i was desperate and it was alot cheaper

You would be fine on 93 pump more than likely.

93 pump gas should be fine in a 10.8:1 engine. That is unless you are running some seriously advanced timing.
