the kfx motor is junk, why would you wanna use it? its so hard to get any kind of reliable power out of that motor

because i still have my spare motor when i was racing with my kfx450... what kind on motor would you suggest for that ?

the ltr is the heaviest bike out there. why put a weaker motor in it? the kawis frame is probably the best productions frame out there. and the efi on the kawi is way more simple than the ltr.

I say sell the kfx engine and buy a hybrid... or a chassis and do a build how you want. Im leaning towards parting out my hybrid to build a laeger 250r shortly, Im in Ontario. 03 Laeger narrow front yz rear chassis with a flip top subframe, and 03 yz450 engine. Going to sell the chassis, and engine and keep the rest to build my 250r once I pick up my chassis.

If you want to send/sell me the motor, I could see if it'll fit in my 250R hybrid frame. If so, I'll get it all fabbed up and get the tank built for it or convert it back to a carb setup and sell it back to you.

Flying250R. If you think you may like the hybrid, I'd suggest you just get your frame re-worked to allow for both motors and stick a 250R back in rather than trying to sell it and find a 250R frame.

I already found a narrow front cr500 link rear 250r chassis. Thats why im going to part out my hybrid and use most of the parts on it. I think itd be easier to do that, then convert it since I dont have the means to do so. Just waiting to get the chassis and then swap it all over. Who knows, if funds are alright, maybe keep both and build the R over time.

Dont let someone talk you out of doing this, if thats what you want, build it. kx450f dirtbikes are the low to midrange powerhouses of the 450 class. I dont see how the atv version could be a slug. mixing the fuel injection systems could be trouble.Pretty sure they run different fuel line pressures, and no telling how sensors would communicate.

yes i know, but i want to know the opinion of everybody... and why i want to do this ? simply because i love de LTR's handling and the power of my kfx450 engine... i don't know they say that this engine is junk.... i was ice racing with a stock engine.... all i have to say is , HOLESHOT!!! haha but i think that project will wait.... first house project coming soon.... thanks !
