Exaust leak noob

It seems like my header pipe is seperating from the motor.... is there a crush ring in there i need to worry about to seal it or is it just a bolt. its an 2010 outlaw 450.

Start up and put your hand over the exhaust. You will know immediately if its really leaking or not.

Ive never worked on an outlaw, but Id be willing to bet there are copper crush gaskets in there.

Yeah im almost for sure its leaking at the header. I can for sure hear it. and it was backfiring like crazy.

so generally speaking is it out of the question for it to have just come loose? and if so would i need to replace the gasket or just tighten it up?

or maybe both, is there anything else i should know?

Having never worked on that kinda bike Im not sure.

I would see if it uses some kinda copper crush gaskets and then replace them. It might be that someone didnt tighten it down tho-check that too. You want snug, not insanely tight either btw.
