Im looking to get a new set of nerfs to replace these crappy dg ones i have. I am thinking of getting AC's the cheap ones without the pegs or heelguards. Any others that would compare for the price? I read the reviews on the tusk and motorsports bars and there is a lot of complaints but how do they work for you? I want them to feel solid and not floppy like my current ones. I dont race but i will beat the crap of them. Thanks

ive heard good things about the tusk ones for a cheaper set. i like the dg ones but am not a fan of the steel ones. there are a couple of other sets out there too that are pretty decent for a cheaper set. anything is better than no protection at all thats for sure.

I've got rock t-9 nerfs off motosport which are basically tusk and they hold uo good. Got them on sale though for $180

I got these off ebay, the are basically the same as the tusk nerfbars off RMatv, except these are black and have alba stickers. so far I am more than pleased with em. the propegs are very nice and my feet dont ever slip off the pegs. and I have hit the ground with em quite a bit in deep rutted trails and it hasnt really done any damage so far. for around 200$ they are hard to beat.

how good are the ones tusk makes that use your exsisting heelgaurds? i like the idea of ones like the ones above but also theyre pretty spendyyyyy. i ride some rocky stuff too and on my old 300ex when goin through rock gardens id be slamming them on rocks and stuff i was hoppin over. would i be better off fabbing up some of my own double wide pegs?

Not sure since I never had that type and I dont have the stock heel guards.

I do know I like the entire setup b/c without it you can catch your foot and run it over very easy.

yeah i definately want somthing with good heel protection, being aftermarket or stock i dont mind. i've gone to build trails on our old logging skid roads and all the braches seem to like to whip up in front of the pegs and get your shins :p. along with being stock between the axle and airbox or grab bar
