450r shocks on a 400ex

Friend of mine has stock 450r shocks and I was wondering what modifications I may need to do to make these fit? I heard that they are a softer setup than the stock 400 shocks. His 450 is an 05 and my 400 is an 01. Thanks in advance

just requires a little bit of shaving on the mount. Theres a little bracket where a plastic mount is set that blocks it, other then that its a pretty straight swap.

If youve got a dremmel you can shave it right up.
