my dad had one wayyyyyyy back in the day in 85 when they first made them. he said he loved that bike and it was pretty fast. blaster's are pretty cheap from what i've heard and i almost bought one but decided a 300ex would be better. if you're looking for more LT answers check out the lt250r section. ALSO what year is the one you're looking at? thats a big part too. they're basically an oldschool 2stroke that rips and gets it done. any mods?

I started my racing on a 1991 Quadracer 250. Loved that thing!! That was in 1991 though. I hung in there with the ole 250r's It dang sure aint my 450r but hey for $700.00, might be worth fooling with if your mechanically inclined to get into it....motor and all. Its easy to work on though.

that blaster has to run on 110 = $$$$$$$$
that 250 still has the original type rims!
if you bought that 250r (700) and but 800 in mods to compare to the 1500 blaster.....you'd be eating that blaster up and shi**ng out 90's :p
for 700 i'd take that lt. especially if you can turn a wrench and it runs good.

i do agree with blasters being cheap on parts and easy to work on plus that one looks awesome. personally i'd take the LT though. just more bike for the money.

87-up are power-valved. Like Greg, love my 92 LT and still have it. If that 87 is in good shape, snap that thing up! Lots of parts still available, and lots of fun to ride.

I'd pass on that one. Never liked the non PV motors compared to 87-up. I had a '90 and it was great. Those motors can make some big power.

It was 87?

Been so long since I owned my LT. I know the 91-92 had something different than the other models. You remember what the differences were?

You are correct sir. 91-92 went with the standard rear suspension, instead of the Full-floater that had the rear shock angle opposite.

You never invite me up Greg, or you could see a 92 LT! haha!

If Im not mistaken I think my 91 exhaust came out on the opposite side of the bike as compared to years before.

The plastic should not be a direct bolt up im sure he changed something to make it fit.
Does not look to bad for 700 as long as it runs good id say go for it.
