CR Ignition compatibility question

Does anybody know 100% sure if a 2002 cr ignition will work on a trx 250r? I know the question has been asked before that I found from searching, but I couldn't find a definite answer. There was a question as to whether it would bolt up to the esr igntion plate or not. Also, the 2002 has the servo motor that connects in the wiring harness for the powervalve which I don't think the 2001 has. Can you run the ignition just fine without the servo hooked up?
