what oil filters do you guys recomend i am thinking of running amsoil synthetic

i run amsoil full synthetic from the day i changed breakin oil seems to be a very good oil in my opinion as far as filter its wutever the guy behind the counter gives me ive prob ran them all some comes with new oring some dont

man the zuki bran would be a good quality one i think the ones i run are vesara or something like that they are cheap at the local bike shop here, mines a yr and 3 months old tore it down to replace third gear in it which is a typical zuki thing i reakon and everything still looked good even had crosshatches in the sides of the cylinder after countless hours

I run Rotella with hiflo filters. Oil is $11 gallon at walmart and is just as good if not better than all the high dollar stuff and I get filters for free. Makes an oil change come out to a whopping $5.50...

I agree with the hi flow filters and we use the maxima atv oil but it is around $6.00 a qt. No matter what oil and filter you use just make sure you change it often and keep the airfilter clean.

I HAVE HEARD OF USING ROTELLA BUT WHAT WEIGHT. AND HOW MANY QUARTS DOES THE 06 HOLD? I JUST GOT IT SO NOT RELLY FAMILIAR WITH CHANGING THE OIL. I KNOW HONDA 450'S HAVE TWO DRAIN HOLES AND HOLD ABOUT TWO QUARTS.

Use the 15w40. Use 2 quarts. 1300cc in the motor, 700cc in the tank.


There's a drain plug on the tank and 2 8mm? bolts on the bottom of the engine cases to drain it.

I use suzuki or hi flo oil filter.Use Rotella T triple protection HD diesel oil.Only use the 15w40 because it JASO DH-2,MA spec.(motorcycle approved) for wet clutch application.
1.2 Litres in the tank (1200ml,cc)
.4 Litre in the engine (400ml,cc)
Start engine run for 3 mins @ idle speed only
turn engine off sit for 3 mins.
add oil- should be in the safe range on the dipstick.(about 200ml)
