My dad told me he would help me out a little if i bought a 4x4. we would split the money and we are looking to buy one for about 2000-3000$. My options are a 2006 yamaha wolverine 450 sport (3000), 2003 suzuki vinson 500 (3000), 2001 polaris scrambler 500 (2500). I'm going to be towing a jetski, and beating on it. What one do you think would be the best for me, or any suggestions?

In my opinion, the dual-purpose "sport utility" quads like the Wolverine and the Scrambler are just junk. They're trying to bridge the gap between sport quads and utility quads, and all they really get is a quad that completely sucks at both, and is basically useless.

I'd say either go full utility or full sport, and since you're looking for a 4x4 to tow with, full utility is your target.

My opinion, i would go with a full utility and stick with the name brand. I would look for a Honda Forman / Yamaha Grizzly and stuff like that.

I just bought a 450 Suzuki King Quad and I ride with 2 guys that have the 500 Vinson. We beat on these bikes and they have lasted and run great. The push button 4 wheel drive and the locking differental and high, low range are great. I also own a Honda 450 Foreman. I'll take the King Quad any day over the Foreman. I hate Polaris and I don't know about the wolverine.

we have a honda rubicon 500. it has a solid axle in the back so it still slides around alright and everything. my dad rides it with me then he can use it for scoping out timber for logging. its been a great utility so far. personally i thought i'd hate it being how big it is, but really it's not to bad and a nice change comfort wise sometimes. GET A HONDA

I had a 2002 rubicon 500. I beat the hell out of it went through alot of hubs, bearings, axles, and 4x4 went out once(cant remember what caused it),E shift would screw up every now and then. Ended up selling it and getting a 250x.

I think a a rancher or foreman would be good.

Get a Honda rubicon foreman or rancher. i have a 2004 racher 350 and i love it its not as fast or quick as my 400ex but its built very well and handles alot of tough use around the farm, its very comfortable to ride and the electronic shift is a nice feature but it sometimes sticks when it gets to warm and finally its just better cause its a honda lol
