View Full Version : how deep do i set my crank seals??

hey guys i just installed my new crank bearings and was curious on how far i should push my crank seals in and whats to far??? on my stator side i put it in already but its a little deeper then the "flush" point but its my first time and dont want to make a big mistake any imput is appriciated!!

6mm on the stator side flush on the drive side

i was told to place it just far enuff in that the stator would bolt up.ive never had a problem with any motors by doing it this way

You do have to push it far enough for the crank to seal.

always done this way.no blown seals.always pressure tested 6 pounds 6 mins.thank you have a good day.ill continue to do it my way.
