what is the stock gearing on an 08 er and what would be good gearing to run mx. it will be stock motor but will have an exhaust.

stock gearing is 13/38 on the +06 and I dont think they changed it on the 08, if your running stock size tires then stock gears works well

no there will be mx tires 18 in back and 20 in the front

it would also depend on the track if its tight and technical, stock would work good if its open and fast go to a 14 in front,
but by just changing the front it gives you enough adjustments to have the ability to change in a couple minutes,
just bring both with you, and you can pop on the 14 if you want more speed

I have my chain adjusted to be able to run a 14 is in the middle of the adjustment, and i have a 13 and a 15, but I seldom use the 15 and its never on a mx track only when its flat and fast paced
