I got fed up with the crappy fit and my seat popping off the front all the time. So heres what i came up with. Tell me what you think. Before the mounts werent wide enough to fully fit into the mount, they were 1/4 inch short on each side! This one fits nice and snug in each end, and the seat doesnt have any movement anymore.

Ahhhhh yea i didnt even remember thats where the snorkle runs, it would be tough to do something like this with the snorkle. Im pretty proud of it. Sure wont be loosin any races because of no seat! :)

LOL!!, bud, I think your only problem was you were missing (and still are missing) the OEM rubber grommets that go there to take up the space...

Only problem? haha, no. Thanks for the suggestion though. The stock mounts flex too much, are as flimsy as paper and they didnt line up correctly for me. also the thick stock rubber grommets can compress too much, allowing the latch to slip off the grommet.

This was my sure fire solution.

Doesn't somebody make the nylon type bushings for the front mounts? I could have swore somebody had some on here.

Yea I have seen them on quads before. Great choice if ridin slow trails or just puttin around. But if your racing MX and SX its nothing to take chances on.

Troy and Dan have those nylon mounts.

So you just put a piece of rubber tubing over the metal tube right? Seems like that would work great... tight fit with almost no flex.

Yep! Its heater core line. Works great. I just wish i could find something that had a cap on the end, a bushing from something so it would look a little cleaner.

are you using OEM or aftermarket rear seat latch?

Aftermarket with quick pull pins and new bushings.

That is beefy as heck! You could try heater hose caps from an auto parts store. They may not be as reinforced as a hose. They usually have them in stock to check them out. They would cap the heater hose outlets on a car. They would fit the bill for ya looks wise for sure.

Thanks!! I will look for some of those, that would be awesome if they would work for this.
