First of all i am new to the Fox Shox and pretty clueless with adjusting them. So i was wondering if anybody could help me adjusting my fox shox to my weight? i weigh about 170-175 lbs with all my gear on. Any help at all would be awesome. Thanks Everbody.

give fox a call (831-274-6557).

let them know what front end setup you have and they'll give you a starting point for the main and evol chambers.

its easy to set the psi. finding the right setting for you (evol psi, compression, and rebound) will take some time.

here's a link the 1st generation evol's manual. page 11 starts the guide to setting up the shocks.

here's the link to the 2nd gen evol's manual:

Thankss man for all the help, i will have to work on them a lot this week before the race but does 42 in the main chamber and about 170 in the evo sound about right for my weight?

ballpark. maybe bump the main up a little.

go over to ltrhq and search for "Fox Float Compression/Main/Evol" under the suspension/steering/chasis subforum. the last update was on 03/25/09 (atvriders filter won't let me post the link).
there are a few guys around your weight who've posted their settings.

i'm still learning with my evols so i'm far from an expert. :ermm:

man ive told u earlier 42 and 170, ive only had these shocks for few months still learning, i dropped my evol down to 150 and it seems to be a lil better than 170 may have to make some high speed compression changes tho,
