I just put on some yfz shocks on my ex with Houser +2's and the thing is sitting like a flattrack racer,I was just wondering i anybody else is running this setup and i there is anything I can do to get this thing to sit right.I knew it was a gamble since the shocks are shorter but I didnt think it would be this bad!

if they have preload(i think they do) just turn the preload up a bit and it will sit higher by turning the stopper out on the shock.

are they pretty soft?

Yeah they have preload,I just didnt think you could gain that much by just that. The arms are allmost straight! As far as them being soft I couldnt really tell you right now,I just bolted em up and havnt rode with them yet. Thanks for the quick reply man

crank em down and see how it goes. you will have to adjust the compression and damping when you start riding. you will def be able to tell if they go down to fast and not back up fast enough or vise versa. lol 2 turns out on everything is probably a good starting point if you can adjust them that far. i guess i am just relying on my 450r shock experience and am hoping that the adjustments are close to the same style lol. steve

good luck, there arent too many guys with yfz shocks that frequent the forum. so thats the best i can do for you unless of them chimes in, in the mean time.

Do you got the standard travel arms or the Long travel arms? Cause the ST suppose to be ok wth the yami shock, but if you got the LT, yeah it can look like a flat track quad!!

I have YFZ shocks on stock arms and I had to crank the preload almost all the way to get them to the right height.

are your a-arms for standerd shocks? mine are a little lower but i didn't ajust the preload a lot its maybe 1/2" lower than stock.
