I have been working out for the last month and been running 5 miles a day and doing set-ups. I do 100 a day and was just wondering what would be a good number to do or how many do you do in a day?

its sit-ups. you strain your abs just like you would train any other muscle. if you were bench pressing would you rep 100 times? NO
if you want to get ripped abs just put a weight on your stomach and do sets of like 10 situps. like 3-4 sets and you'll be good. thats how you get the best result. just doing nearly 100 situps with no added weight takes much longer to see results

I need to start workin out so i get in shape for racin season and so my leg will get back to normal strength

I can knock 5 miles out in under an hour, I would say my best would be about 51 min. thanks for the info on the SIT-UPS, I did 200 last night, I guess I will get some weight and do some and see how that does for a while.

a flat weight or a dumbell work the best. but if you dont have anything like that find anything thats small, flat, and kind of heavy.

6mins50secs isnt such a fast mile, but does 5 constant miles at the same rate is VERY hard. say you run 6 minute miles, your not going to be able to run mile after mile without taking longer, unless your in tip-top shape... im not doubting him, just saying he must be in very good shape if he aint bullchittin us about the time
