I am selling my spare PV motor.
It is freshly rebuilt not yet fired.
Here are the specs.
Top end LRD 310 PV cylinder ported for MX , nikisil 72mm bore
head with interchangeable domes, has a brand new ESR 32cc dome for 185 PSI
New piston, and wrist pin bearing (wiesco)
only flaw is a scuff in the nikisil above one of the exhaust ports (see in the pics below) I took to superior sleeve and was told it was no big deal and would not affect performance at all. Then they diamond honed the cylinder.

Bottom end stock 1987 cases with no damage painted black with ceramic coat paint. new bearings and seals.
Trans is flawless low hour 1987 gear set.
Crank is a OE rebuilt with a hot rods rod (ck 103) short rod ran for 15-20 hrs, still like new.
Clutch basket is low hour stock unit with 1989 bearing update and pressure plate.
Clutch fibers and plates new OE
all bolts replaced with new.
water pump rebuilt.

selling for $1600 (that was the cost of the top end alone from LRD)
they are now closed but if you search there web site you can still get the info on this cylinder.

shipping on the last motor I shipped was around $85 I use UPS let them pack it and have it insured for the full amount.

here are some pics

shoot me a offer? if you have a good core we may be able to make a better deal?

Tell me something,
in that pic of the cylinder kit, I see a Wiseco ring set, but the piston looks like a coated cast Pro-x.

Is it a Pro-x or is it a Wiseco thats been coated.
What I'm wondering is where it came from, because how it has been machined on the sides around the wrist pin area, that is what we all need to use in these Pro-x & ESR cylinders with the aux exhaust ports.

Jason, maybe you know because of it being LRD.

Neil,

It came in a LA sleeve box, You are correct coated and runs wiesco rings
I think it was from ESR, but I bought it from pumashine it was a unused spare he had.

Was it in a white box ??.
I'm wondering if it was one of the real early Pro-x cast big bore pistons that you cant get anymore.

We realy need some with that machining on the sides like that one, cause it would stop the port linking when the aux exhaust ports are cut wide.
Because of that, If we could stop loosing half of the crankcase flow out into the exhaust early before the piston uncovers the transfer ports, we could see some big hp improvements.
That one little machining defect is holding the Pro-x jugs back.
