i just picked up a stock 05 yfz with a 06 motor, i dont like the old style swingarms.. will a newer stock swingarm work on a 05? or should i got aftermarket? thanks

oh by the way ill never own a can-am again...junk!! i love this yfz just ordered long travel aarms and elka shocks.. cant wait for the summer!!

I have a 07 swingarm with carrier and skid,these later model swingarms are also stronger!PM me!

You'll also need an 06+ caliper, rotor, and rotor hub. Make sure you keep the shock/link/dogbone of the same year range -- all 04/05 or all 06+. Much easier to adjust the chain, and the rear brake pads will last much longer than the 05 setup. I'd also recommend you consider an aftermarket link like the GT Thunder link to calm the rear end down. Good luck!

i would just buy a new lonestar, that's what i did. My stock 07 broke right in-half. Didn't have much time on it. And i wasn't even that hard on it. Alluminum swing-arms break. When the pro's run um, they change um often. If you're gonna jump, i'd go chromolly.

already bought a stock 07 swinger.. i jumed my ds450 all day long with the aluminum swinger with no problems.. but well see how it goes on this yfz
