I heard that there was a forum out there where some riders were useing the CRF 450 bike timeing chains on there 400 ex's?? Was curious if any of you have tried it or know of the forum?? The CRF 450 bike chain has 112 links in the chain as the 400 ex and am sure the chain goes threw more of a work out than the 400 ex chain and dont see why it wouldnt work. Was curious if any of you have had any luck trying it. Figure it would be alittle tight at first but would stretch an do its job in the long run. Thanks for looking at my post an any input would help.

I have been running one in mine for a couple years. It is a much thicker chain and a cheap way to have a little extra insurance.

and if im not mistaken, the crf oem chain is cheaper than "aftermarket" 400ex cam chains, I bet thats probably what they use?
