do i need a screen in my air filter

I have a clamp on foam filter setup im about to put on my yfz. Its a no toil clamp on. It didnt come with a screen. Will it suck together my friend said it would?

If it will what do i use for a screen?

i've ran a sparks foam filter with no screen with no problem.

i have no toil and pro design adapter and never have any issues... no screen, no cage, no bs...

i run honda UNI clamp on filters and no toil honda filters and no screens or w.e its good to go

thanks bunch guys. i got it on and no problem. Went to ride it to see how jetting was and clutch cable broke. Get new one on 2mrw and find out.
