Well I'm considering going to get a 450r (I know this is a 400ex side, but this applies to any quads) from a guy/dealer and I guess he's a special mechanic in such things as: in line coolers, block off plates, chain guides, grease zert installation, bearing upgrades.

On this 450r, he has done all of that to it and I was wondering if that would hurt the machine any? I wouldn't think so but since that isn't stock on the machine I wasn't so positive..

My buddy got a Kawi 400 from the same guy/dealer with all that stuff on it. Seems to run alright but we've only rode for about 20 minutes...

Any info? Anyone run that kinda setup?

So long as the work looks good you should be fine.

Yeah heres the list of the mods.

Twin Row Bearing Carrier
In Line Coolers
Front Hub Kit
Block off plate w/ cooling fins
Brake Line cooler
Case saver, chain guards
Added grease zerts
Motor mounts upgrade
UNI filter

Its a lot of new stuff that I havent worked with so I wasnt really sure about it.

Seems like the typical kind of stuff for the most part.

Never heard of a brake line cooler and not sure why it would need motor mounts upgraded.

Also, with the added grease zerks, that can be a good thing or a bad thing.

As the stock Hondas do not have them and are sold with sealed bearings. I have seen people add a grease zerk and then have issues later on.

Also, seen people that have done it and not had any issues.

Is there anything done as far as suspension/a-arms/axle or engine work? What year is this 450?

The inline cooler mentioned is probably on the radiator hoses. Just cut a section out of the hose, and replace it with the "cooler". I doubt it makes any considerable difference. The only motor mount upgrades I've heard of was a set made of titanium to shave weight. I don't think that's the case here though.

I couldn't imagine any of the things you listed to cause any trouble.

Just make sure the fins run front to back, and not up and down.
wouldn't want to create any unnecessary drag or air turbulance :huh .

Yeah the in line cooler is on the hose. He just cut it.

Not sure if I'm gonna go for it yet or not
