When I'm out on the trail, would my bike be faster if I was running slicks ?
I figuering that since more rubber would actually be touching the ground,......

also, what if I filled them with sand ? Would that help ?

Recently I have installed NOS on my rear tires. Its a great mod. Everyone should do it.
I'll have a complete right up with photos very soon.

for trail riding I remove the heavier things from my quad and replace them with things that are lighter, for example those race cut plastics replace them with a large piece of cardboard and just jump on it, it will form fit your body, and that heavy drive chain, replace it with some ole hemp rope and for you enviromentalist pinkos stop using water for alternative fuel gasoline is lighter!

drain your oil, it drops alot of weight
tire wise i prefer either dirtbike tires all duct taped together, or some big 3 wheeler baloons :)

I found putting sand in my buddies tanks makes my 406EX the fastest on the trails...no need for a tire change.

I've heard that if you put 2" wide front tires, and pour WD-40 over the entire quad, before each ride, it will slip through the air better.
Is this true?

and what are the best aerodynamic handlebars ?

Does the Low Beam headlight create less wind resistance than the High Beam ?

If I change the tail light to an LED, will it give me more thrust ?

How much HP will I gain if I race cut my fenders ?

If I polish my muffler, will I need to re-jet ?

Can I Dyno-tune the Nerf bars ?

What is the best color nets for Hillclimbing ?

If I stand on the pegs, do I need to change the Graphics ?

guys....seriouslly :o

but all kidding aside, I only run 2 lug nutz per wheel, and I also run nitrogen instead of regular compressed air, saves 1 lb per wheel.

lots of good stuff here.

I personally think that the adjustable powerband is the best bang for your buck. it is just like the limiter straps on sleds. it helps to transfer weight to the rear tires better.

The only difference- limiter straps are actually used.

haha funny stuff ron!

O I forgot putting your quad on weight watchers right before a big race or ride will shave at least 20 pounds!

I actually found that removing my chain and rear brake pads and rolling down a steep mountain makes mine go faster than ever. And I only gotta use like 1/4 throttle to reach top speed!

i take the pegs of my atv. it saves so much weight and cuts down on wind resistance.

Personally I found that putting an oversized floogel valve in will give you about 5 mph in the top end. I also take the brakes off for every race... saves some seirous weight. :D

You might laugh at this, but its a true story.

About 4 years ago in my high school shop class, we had an old metro with a blown motor for a project. Of course first thing was first, we striaght piped it and removed all the doors and roof to turn it into a "safari" metro lol. After a flat black spray paint job we found a junk yard motor and stabbed it in. Sadly we soon got bored trying to do burn-outs in the parking lot, so we got creative. We took the blower motor out of it, put it on a toggle switch and plumbed it into the air intake. That is what you call a red-neck super charger. The best part is that it actually worked!

Is it really true, that you can make your own 150 octane Race Fuel,
by mixing 70% Diesel, 50% Lacquer Thinner, and 30% Liquid Cascade ?
