Electrical issues!?

Alright guys, finally got my motor together and in! Yay! When i went to start it, it moaned and barely turned over! So i put the charger on, same thing first time, but second time, just a tick in the solenoid! So i tapped the starter. Even while on the highest charger setting, it barely grunted! Should a good cleaning and rebuild of the starter help? I'll need a new battery too because mine are junk. Second problem: (luckily i can popstart it) my light gets real dim when i rev my motor! Stays bright at idle, but dim at anything above idle! What could that one be?

It sounds like ur batery is the problem, probly a bad cell. That would cause the no start issue and diming light.

yep, i replaced the battery and i also rebuilt the starter. starts perfect and light works great! thanks quadcobbler!
