today at our local lake we had a radar run about 400 people showed up, my top speed was 112mph with my 97 Ski-Doo MXZ 670ho, first place was a 96 Polaris xcr700 that did 150 his track was completely covered in studs makes me wish i had gotten more studs in my track, it was a pretty fun day tho got to test out some new sleds like the mxz rev and arctic cat F7 and F5 both were really nice sleds

lol I rode my quad today in the snow. We got about 6+ inches and it was kinda fun but I mostly stayed on the streets doing 360's cuz I didn't wanna get stuck. Anyways it ended up with me riding up a steep hill and whipping 180's on the drift which was a blast looking back seeing snow over your rear fenders because it was so soft. Oh and I plowed through a huge drift down hill and I felt like I was riding a submarine for a few seconds the snow was so high up. Lol it was so soft you could just plow right threw em'.

most sleds are recorded on how fast they go 0-100 instead of 0-60:devil ...My mach z is around 6 seconds i believe. In other words sleds are fast especially when they hook up.:D

A guy here has reached 230Km/h in 600 feets on his 1000CCs sled. that thing rips. there was also a 725 Raptor that was beating 600ccs sleds all day long on the river.

yeah the rev has great power seems to get up to speed quickly i like the F7 tho but yeah the Rev is a great sled the strip is 100yrds long and then theres plenty of room to slow down after the finish

In 1997 the mxz670 wasnt available in HO. I belive 99' was the 1st year for the HO.

112mph is a decent speed out of that sled . How many studs do you have?? 144?? I used to run a 96 formula 3 and hit 124 mph or so in the 660 feet . Had it hooking up like crazy with 246 woodys studs . Little bit more work and i bet you can get around 117mph out of it . Do some clutch work and put some no friction idler wheels in it . I'd take an SRX 700 over any sled any day . Those things are INSANE with minor work to them .

YEa its surprising i dont think that high speeds are really that bad on sleds unless you are on ice. On snow i will do about a 120 and will just be lke damn that fast look down and then you flip out lol. I dont think its that bad they ride prety good at high speeds you cant turn that much though just cause you'll flipi but its not that bad imho

some friends went to a radar run today in ny. fastest one went 118 w/ his track locked up. his belt blew apart at the half way point. scary. he runs a polaris ultra w/ a htg big bore and 80hp of nos. a couple more friends have polaris 800 triples w/ htg big bores putting out 220hp at the track, but for some reason they didn't run that good, not sure if clutching was off or what. they've been clocked before at 128.

whoa hiper. are you sure about the length? 118 in 300ft? sounds a little iffy. my brother grass drags and knows his crap. he went to the same radar run as mel is talking about. it was a 1000 ft long track.he finished 2nd in 700cc at 97mph the winner ran 98mph. btw his sled is a 2000 yamaha srx 700.

It sounds about right to me! I can do the same speed on my sled, no studs no mods... Its got under 600km on it (sorry I dont do miles...) I hit 180km/h the other day, which is about the same speed in miles(112mph), still a bit of throttle left. I was racing a Yamaha 600 and 700 tripple... I smoked both of them. The MXZ's have a ton of pick up. I am getting studs for next year. I beleive he got going that fast in 300', its not hard on a sled on snow.

daaaaaamn! that is fast! my 400 sucks in snow the fast trekkers just are crap on it. no grip AT ALL. especially on that polished packed snow you get under the rubber when you spin on a road thats not plowed very good
