most skidplates come with rubber strips to go between the frame rails and the skid. i would just try to find some kind of rubber and cut to fit..

maybe cut some pieces of garden hose or someother rubber hose in half and zip tie them to the frame where the skids are rubbing

Go to Home Depot and buy a roll of self adhesive weather stripping in whatever width you want and put it on the skid plate where it rubs on the frame..nice and cheap!

On my 400ex I cut up some dirt bike tubes and glued them in but on my 450 I painted it with the dupli color bed armor and it works and looks awesome!

they are going to use the P style clamps that wrap around the frame, they are rubber coated with a clip nut. it is the best skid plate solution, i should have the first few on monday or tuesday

That sounds exactly like the mxp poly skid i have, how much is it gonna be? are there going to be oil holes already drilled?

no oil holes, i really dont like the idea of having holes big enough to drain oil in the skid plate, it usually ends up making a mess because the oil needs a big area to come out, and with a big hole in the bottom it just lets rocks and mud come up. prices arent set yet, should know by next week

Also i need to point this out, these are not copies, i made the templates, we are not trying to rip anyone off in making these plates

we use heater core hose. cut in to 1" pieces and slice them. they go right over your frame. you'll never have any more problems.
