I have an outlaw 450 which has a similar setup. What are you guys running for number plate setups that avoid blocking the exaust?

go on ebay look it up. they make one that just has a cutout and drops lower. why they dont make one for the outlaw is beyond me. lol

i made my own out of aluminum bar stock. nothing fancy at all... cut to length and drill holes. i also put rubber grommets on the bolts on each side of the grab bar so it could flex if i get asspacked, lol.

this is the best picture i have. i covered them w/ vinyl too obviously:

Does Rath make one for the Polaris? I have their rear bump on my LT-R. The best and most sturdy made. Has the drop built in.

here in michigan if you race your required to have brake light too, no headlight required but def brake light. i have a couple 400ex and i had to buy 450r tail light setups for them to race them at all. even mx

you are in michigan... what do you race and get away with no brake light? i have ran some mx up north like tc petoskey area a little more and a couple gncc style races and always was required a light...

ran SJO last year, doing GLMX this year (which a few people i know race, none of which have tail lights). even D14 doesn't list a tail light in there rules. where/what series did you race??

bigbad400

no series. cadillac motorcycle club has some local mx races and up in petoskey they do a once a year harescrabble... tc has a gncc type race that has a hefty grand prize of $2500 i always run it but best place i got was 42 out of 180 or so... ill see if i can dig up the info on it, i usually sign up for next year befor i leave the race. lol the motorcycle club requires a brake light period. and both races have to have a switchable brake light cus the ex just has a tail light and it wasnt good enough..

huh. i have never heard that before. interesting. D14 runs at CMC if i'm not mistaken too.

With a drop being that low do you guys ever run into it clipping anything when you bottom out. (which unfortunately happens on occasion for me)

Also has anyone seen any that will move your plate to the side?

i've never had mine hit the ground, and i'm pretty sure mine hangs lower than the ones you buy (i plan on going w/ an aftermarket pipe eventually so i gave it a little extra room not knowing how "it" would fit, whatever "it" will be).

i've definitely bottomed a time or ten... my frame will tell ya that story, lol.

Actually there is absolutely no rule anywhere in GLMX OR District that requires a Brake light. Not Harescramble or MX. Cadillac Motorcycle does not require a brake light either. Remember MX bikes are closed course machines and do not come a brake light from the factory. As for the Outlaw tracks in MI requiring a brake light they might but then they would also require one on the dirt bikes that run and how many of those guys do you think are going to waste the time or expense to install a brake light.

Not hijacking, stating fact. Been racing in both series and I know the rules.

But personnally I like the Rath Racing Grab bar with Number plate holder attached.

KOQ is wut i have its nice the way u can bend it then bend it right back with out fear of breaking. the way mine sits in my truck the tailgate pushes on it and bends it up

i took an old stop sign and a grinder and cut me a lower bracket then just drilled the holes, pretty easy and cheaper
