can i get a lt 80 to beat a trx 90 in a race across a frozen lake? I dont want to spend a fortune on doing it but my son needs more top end. any sugestions

Shave the head .030
Cut the rear shoes down to 180 grams.
Gear up a tooth or 2 in the front.
Adjust roller weight to accomodate the gearing change (usually remove 1 or 2 rollers).
That's the cheapest way to get a lil.
