i started with 400 grit, went up to 600 grit then to 1000 grit. should i get the part and sand with 1000 grit? then i am going to use steel wool. but how do u get in between the honda letters on the throttle cover? i may just grind them off...

on the throttle cover...i sandblaster mine to get the paint off the lil parts of the honda...but yea after the 1000 grit...get #0000 steel wool...rub for a while in one direction...on the whole thing..back in forth so it will shine the same direction....then apply mothers...the more times you polish it with mothers the better it will look

On lil parts like throttle covers ect, it would be a good idea to send to pappy for clear pc.
but anything big or that will see abuse, dont

its in garage, so you cant see the shine very good, but about 10 minutes with 320 grit, then 400, then 600, and a bit of mothers polish. i kinda like the stuff left between the letters on the rezzie cover.

Im with him on that one.... Throw the mothers away and call eastwood company... MOTHERS IS FOR MAINTAINING POLISHED PARTS not polishing them! So get a buffing wheel and some tri-poly and white rouge and u will love it... Just look at the pic i posted above, you can see your reflection perfect.

- If ya guys want, PM me for a price quote and ill be more than happy to polish some parts to a mirror finish.
