What oil?

I just got my KTM 3 weeks ago. What weight oil are you guys runnin? 10W-40, 10W-50, 20W-50?
Does the 10W-40 stay stable in the summer or would the 20W-50 be a better choice.
Is synthetic really worth twice the money as regular?
Ive always used Maxima ATV 10W-40 in my 400's so Ill probly use that in the KTM too. Thanks.

i run bel ray "thumper" oil. its a semi synthetic and i've had great luck with it. i use 10w40. i used to run 20w50 in the 400ex, but i find the ktm runs much better on the thinner oil

I use 10w-40 in mine too, Mobil1 4T motorcycle oil cause it's $9 a quart and available at Walmart. Works great, before using it I had trouble getting my quad in neutral from 1st, aways had to click down from 2nd which seems to be pretty common on these KTM's. Now it just slips right into neutral from 1st with no problem.

Thanks for the responses guys. Ive always used maxima atv 10W-40. I think ill keep using that.
