i got a uni air filter for my 400ex and do i need to jet it if i run a open air filter? Also it is making a sucking sound from the cabrurator

Make sure your clamps are tight on the air filter to the carb and from the carb to the engine. As far as jetting you could prolly bump up the main to a 150 and it should be good. That's what we did to my buddys and his running a k&n filter. Maybe back your f/a screw out to 2.5 are 3. That's just what we did to my buddys so I'm just guessing.:D

That noise you are hearing is normal, however, it can also be lean, I suggest throwing 150 in it and doing a plug chop. Remember, white-too lean, black-too irch, cardboard brown- perfect.

3 turns out on the f/a and a 150 will get you where you need to be.

if u are looking at the bottom of the carb at the bowl there will be a tall tower of metal sticking out of one side with a screw in the top of it. if u have a 05 or newer u need to get a special D shaped adapter to turn the screw.

dynojet has the tool but you have to call them and say you want it.

You can actually go to there site and click on tools are something of that nature and they have them on there now.(the d shaped tool)
